Here's what I did: I booted the computer with the integrated graphics and the monitor did in fact turn on, but only after I reached the login screen.

I hope to get some answers before I turn in the computer for good. The monitor is powered on, but something is interrupting the signal, making the light go on and off. To update your driver restart your computer and at the login screen hold down shift and click on the power symbol and click restart. I wonder if this means more than just BIOS, or perhaps the motherboard is completely fried. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed and say a little prayer. When prompted to restart the computer, click Restart. In the System Configuration window, select the boot tab and uncheck Safe Boot. If the User Account Control window is displayed, click Yes or Continue. I am about to read all of the info you sent and see if I can get it worked out from there. In the Open field, type msconfig, and then click OK. It just keeps going back to the blank screen with the blinking cursor. I followed the link provided by another post: Click Here, to troubleshoot, and so far, after 2 days of trying, it became unfruitful. The cd drive lights up and you can hear it spinning and then nothing happens. I looked up the blinking, and from what I read, it means BIOS corruption issue: Click Here.
Alternatively, you can choose option 5 to start on Safe Mode with Networking. If you’re using Windows 7, you’ll need to click over to the Performance tab and click Open Resource Monitor.
I cycled through the choices in Personalize -> Background. Windows 7 users don’t have this feature in the task manager. At first, it only flashed when it showed the desktop pictures (no other apps running). The blinking starts intermittently, but once it starts, it is very annoying and I cannot use the computer. And within 15 seconds or so, the CapsLock starts to blink, 2 blinks interval, and keep ongoing. After your computer reboots, select the option 4 to start in Safe mode. (the WebView2 Runtime was probably because of me looking for system updates to fix the blinking). The power button light is on, as well as F5 and F12 (orange color) lite up. After the last attempt to upgrade the eSATA SSD, the computer starts to experience issues. I replaced the original hard drive to SSD and upgrade the RAM to 8 GB DDR3.
I have a booting issue with my Envy 4-1030us, currently running Windows 10 home, 20H2 edition, with 8GB RAM, 180GB SSD.Īfter years of using this wonderful computer, it starts to give me some issues.
